How to Build USB Guitar

How to Build USB GuitarSo you don’t satisfied with any USB electric guitars? You want to build your own USB guitar. Bill Machrone has write a great article about this thing. You can try this at home.

First, you need a cheap electric guitar to be customized. Why cheap? If this experiment fail, you don’t loose much money. Because we need to modify the control panel, we need an electric guitar with enough room in the control panel and under pickguard.

Second, you need an USB interface. This USB interface should small enough to fit in guitar control panel. It should has USB codec onboard. The interface should can record mono input.

Then, you must open your electric guitar control panel and place the USB interface into the control panel. If this USB interface not fit in control panel, you need to make control panel modifications. After you make modifications, you should check the wiring, and try to record with your new USB guitar.
